Wish List Wednesday

I think this week I'm going to do a birthday edition, okay okay it's a month away. It's my blog, deal.

I've been looking at external hard drives a lot lately. I really need something to back up my computer. I would be DEVASTATED if I lost a single picture I have saved on here. As I start to take more and more pictures, I will need the room.

Speaking of taking more picutes. Ahem. Ok, ok, I'll try to be reasonable.

Have I told you about my love for Gussy? She's divine! I've been drooling around her shop for months and months. I have my eye on this little number with the chartreuse ruffle. I also LOVE the cute little headbands. And the little chatty Gus zip pouches. OH EM GEE I LOVE ALL THE RUFFLE. Which is weird because I'm not much of a girly girl. She has a blog too and sounds just sweet as pie.

The beach. At sunset. Ahhh. A girl can dream right?

So what's on your wish list on this fine Wednesday?

So I've been eyeing this place

that has an old wagon. It's the local produce stand. They have this really great old truck parked behind it too. I've been itching to put Avery in it and take some pictures. I waited until after they were closed today and got Avery ready for some pictures.

See, cute wagon. Add one uncooperative child and...FAIL. I MIGHT have salvaged a few.

Actually, I think I might kind of love the one of her in front of the wagon. I do wish she would have been more cooperative. I only took about 9 pics, two of them test shots. I think the truck would have been super cute too.

I took this pic as an after thought as we were leaving. Old truck, old wagon I had such high hopes. Maybe we'll try again at a later date.

(Oh, click on them to make them bigger.)

Family Reunion - the other side.

Last year around this time you'll remember that Avery and I headed up north for our family reunion/first camping trip. We made the journey north to Michigan this year, a month later, for the other side of the family reunion. It's amazing to look at the difference from last year to this year. Avery LOVED running around outside and playing in the sand/rocks.

Grandma ate her up!

We had a great time seeing family we haven't seen in ages. I didn't get out the camera at all when we stopped at the lake. Darn it! Avery was POOPED when we got home. Slept most of the almost 5 hour drive home then went to bed super early and slept 14 hours!

June 23rd??

How can it possibly be June 23rd already? Absurd.

I've been busy busy busy. I know, I've had an extended absence. I don't want to go into detail right now but just know there is a lot going on.

Avery and I are heading out of town on Friday to a family reunion. We're excited to see family and spend time relaxing. Maybe I'll let someone else chase the toddler for a bit. ;)

I'll try to focus my thoughts and maybe write a coherent post soon.

I heart online shopping

Specifically, etsy. I ADORE etsy. I love love LOVE all the handmade goodies. What would I do if I won a large sum of money? Well, there's the obvious pay off bills, vacation, donate some. But, I would go on a HUGE etsy shopping spree too!

I've been browsing hair pins and have found multiple that catch my eye. Some classic and some a little funky.

Shampoo bars?! I'm intrigued (thanks a lot Andi). The goat milk soap sounds divine as well.

This coffee bag turned market tote? Love!

Never heard of etsy?

You're welcome and I'm sorry.
What do you do when your plans for the day are thwarted by a downpour?

Why you grab your raincoat of course.

And go play in puddles.

But we couldn't let baby have all the fun. Mommy left the camera and umbrella on the porch and went to play too. Then the heavens opened up and it started POURING!! Avery thought it was hilarious, until it started thundering. We raced back inside and Avery ate some lunch and is napping peacefully. I think all the outside time and excitement wore her out. She went "nigh nigh" without a single complaint. A "ruined" morning turned out to be a complete success.

My dad came and picked Avery up tonight. Very much appreciated, thanks again dad. Now I'm left with extra time before I leave for work. Ah, how soon we forget life before children. Like being able to get ready and leave the house in a fraction of the time. Odd. I've folded a couple loads of laundry and picked up the house.

And night one of three begins.....

I heart faces - feet

The theme: bare feet. I love me some bare baby feet. <3

Wish List Wednesday

I'd love this view off my porch everyday.

I would sit out there and drink my coffee in the morning and prepare myself for the day. I'd love to curl up there after Avery's in bed with a glass of wine and reflect on my day, life, everything.

I'd also love a change of pace. I'm feeling restless.

MIA

I swear, we're still here.

I was set up on a suicide mission this weekend of 4 nights in a row. Delirious is an understatement.

I don't really feel like I can talk about what's been going on in my personal life right now. At least not yet. It's a little too private and it will all come to light eventually anyway. I will tell you that there have been many moments of quiet resolve, tears, laughter, anticipation, anxiety, nervousness.

So, what shall I talk about? Have you been dying to know something about me? Ask away! A topic you think I should cover? Bring it on.
